Sue Gray has officially quit her position as Keir Starmer's chief of staff in a significant reshuffle as the Labour leader seeks to consolidate control and focus on strengthening his team ahead of the next general election. Gray, known for her impartiality and significant role in investigating Boris Johnson's "Partygate" scandal, had joined Starmer’s top team with the aim of helping to refocus Labour’s strategy.

This move comes as Starmer works to regain political momentum amid growing pressure and challenges from both within and outside the party. The reshuffle is part of a broader effort to ensure Labour is well-positioned to contest the upcoming election and present a united front to voters. The reorganization is seen as a critical step in Labour's efforts to compete with the Conservative government and offer a credible alternative to the public.
