At a recent Commonwealth reception at St. James's Palace, King Charles showcased his lively spirit by joining in a traditional Samoan dance lesson. The event, held on October 2, 2024, was attended by approximately 375 guests, including former rugby player Freddie Tuilagi, who led the dance. Tuilagi, now an honorary consul for the Samoan High Commission, encouraged the King to participate, resulting in a light-hearted moment where Charles handed off his drink and mimicked Tuilagi's upbeat dance moves.

The reception served as a precursor to King Charles's upcoming trip to Samoa for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit later this month.

Attendees included notable figures like Jamaican singer Grace Jones and South African judge Motsi Mabuse, highlighting the event's diverse guest list.
