The U.S. has responded strongly to recent criticisms from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who accused Western nations of delaying the delivery of long-range weapons crucial for Ukraine's defense efforts. Pentagon officials, particularly spokesperson Sabrina Singh, defended the U.S., stating that delays were due to limited supplies of these weapons rather than any intentional stalling.

On the battlefield, Ukraine has faced setbacks, particularly in the eastern Donetsk region, where Ukrainian forces were forced to withdraw from key areas like Vuhledar. Zelensky acknowledged these losses but emphasized that protecting the lives of Ukrainian soldiers remains a priority. The U.S. reaffirmed its support for Ukraine but emphasized that resources are stretched thin due to the demands of the ongoing conflict.
