Postecoglou issues Son update ahead of Tottenham’s Brighton trip
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has provided an update on the status of team captain Son Heung-min ahead of their upcoming match against Brighton. Unfortunately, Son is considered "unlikely" to participate in the game due to a hamstring injury he sustained during the Europa League clash with Qarabag. He has already missed Tottenham's recent victories against Manchester United and Ferencvaros.
Postecoglou emphasized that while Son is making efforts to return, the timeline for recovery may be too short for him to be fit for this match. Timo Werner is expected to continue in the starting lineup in Son's absence, as Tottenham aims to extend their winning streak, which currently stands at five consecutive matches.
